The Capacity and Business Activity of the Airport

According to the Annual Passenger Traffic record of 2008, around 201,898 passengers used this service. UNV History and Present-day Operations

A small airport which was built on land from Penn State in the 1950s, it was built only for north of state college. To manage the development of this airport, the Centre County Airport Authority was established. The Chart, which is dated in October 1959, shows 2350-foot runway 6. In 1965 two flights each weekday operated from this airport. It was done by Harrisburg Commuter. The way was from State College to Harrisburg. In 1978, Allegheny Commuter flights started at University Park.

The consistent passenger terminal was established in 1985, but it was not complete, it was done in 1993. Cargo operations from that time were moved to the old terminal. The runway was increased to 6,701 ft (2,042 m). However, in 2001, a new general aviation hangar was established. On January 8, 2010, construction on the new control tower started, this process was done in early August 2011.

UNV airport is trying to attract new airlines to offer modern facilities to passengers. These efforts were effective, as there are following airlines, such as American Airlines, United Airlines, Delta Air Lines.
